Getting your precious bundle to sleep can be difficult at the best of times.
Every technique or tool you can utilise brings you one step closer to peace for both you and your little one.
Familiarity is something that can aid in this process. The most familiar sounds to a newborn infant are the physiological sounds they have been experiencing in the womb.
The most important of these is Mum’s heart beat, as well as the less obvious ‘rushing’ sounds, created by blood flow through arteries. Many healers will tell you that ‘white noise’ and ‘pink noise’ are important for the overall relaxation of your child as they emulate these sounds.
Some modern ‘relaxation’ techniques use familiar house hold appliances to generate ‘white noise’. They will, in part, be successful. However, as we all know, any constant mechanical or electrical sound can be annoying to say the least. They can result in a fitful rest as well as the possibility of headaches.
